§ 18-145. Medical marihuana permit stacking for class C growers.

  • A medical marihuana class C grower who has received a medical marihuana facility permit from the city may apply for and be granted multiple (stacked) class C grow permits—each authorizing the grower to grow up to 1,500 additional marihuana plants at their existing location, based on their capability and capacity to accommodate multiple MMF permits, subject to the following conditions:

    (1)

    A permitee who applies for stacked class C grow permits will be subject to an additional application and application fee of $1,500.00 for each stacked class C grow permit. Approved stacked class C grow permits shall be considered an enhancement to the original class C MMF permit granted by the city.

    (2)

    Stacked class C grow permits shall only be issued to the same MMF permittee that previously received approval for its original class C grow permit.

    (3)

    Applications to stack class C grow permits shall contain all documentation required by the city to show that the permitee has the capability and capacity to accommodate stacked permits.

    (4)

    If approved, permitees shall submit expansion plans to the building inspector, zoning administrator, fire chief and public services director.

    (5)

    The permitee must comply with all city ordinances and zoning requirements.

    (6)

    The permitee must comply with all State of Michigan rules and regulations applicable to medical marihuana "stacking" for class C grow MMF permits.
