§ 8.3. Licenses.

  • The Commission shall by ordinance prescribe the terms and conditions upon which licenses may be granted, suspended, or revoked; and may require and exact payment of such reasonable funds for any licenses as it may deem proper. The persons receiving the licenses shall, before the issuing thereof, execute a bond to the City, when required by any ordinance, in such sum and with such securities as described by such ordinance, conditioned for the safe observance of the Charter of the City, and the ordinance under which the license is granted.

    Note— Franchises and licenses are limited by the Constitution of the State of Michigan to a term of thirty (30) years, Article VII, Section 30, and rate provisions are affected by Act 28 of P.A. 1935.
