§ 62-30. Submittal of program and budget.

  • Not later than February 1 in each year, the board shall prepare and submit to the city manager a tentative outline of its recreational program for the ensuing fiscal year, together with its budget for such ensuing year, which outline and budget, shall serve as a guide in the appropriation of monies by the city. The Buchanan school district has, by written agreement, assumed responsibility for the maintenance and capital improvement of Memorial Field. Financial contributions to area recreation by other municipal authority in the area can be arranged by mutual agreement between the city commission and the municipal authority. If the amount appropriated by the city and other area municipal authority shall be less than the budget requirement, unless the recreation board is able to secure funds from other sources, it shall reduce its budget in accordance with the appropriations.
