§ 18-109. Designation, identification.

  • (a)

    Each taxicab shall bear on the outside of each passenger door, in painted letters not less than two inches nor more than six inches in height, the name of the owner and in addition may bear an identifying design approved by the city commission and the business telephone number of the owner and no other legend than the name of the owner, the approved design and the telephone number may be used on the passenger door. Any name, legend, design or any printed matter proposed for use elsewhere on the taxicab shall be submitted to, and approved by the city commission before so used.

    (b)

    Each taxicab company shall assign a number for each of its cabs and each cab shall bear on each side and on the rear thereof such number so assigned, in numbers at least six inches in height.
