§ 10-67. Investigation of applicant; recommendation by chief of police; appeal.

  • Prior to the granting of a license under this division it shall be the duty of the police department to conduct an investigation into the character, record and habits of all such applicants for license and the chief of police may at his discretion certify or refuse to certify his approval of such license in writing. Upon refusal of the chief of police to certify a license, the applicant may appeal to the city commission for a review of the findings of the chief of police.
